The Instructor: Carl Nichols is a graduate of Lincoln Memorial University and Cumberland College and holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. He obtained his affiliate license in 1979 and broker’s license in 1983. He has attended real estate schools in TN, AL, KY, and CA from which he holds a professional designation as a “Residential Specialist”. For several years he has taught real estate education as an adjunct instructor for the University of Kentucky’s Southeast Community College and for Walter’s State Community College. He is a member of the Knoxville Area Association of Realtors. |

| To obtain your Tennessee Real Estate License you must: (1) be at least 18 years of age (2) be a resident of Tennessee (at least 45 days at time of testing) (3) be at least a high school or GED graduate (4) complete a Commission approved 60-hours "Principles of Real Estate" course (5) complete a Commission approved 30-hours "Course for New Affiliate" (6) pass the state licensing exam The Tennessee Real Estate Commission requires that you take a Commission approved 60-hours "Principles of Real Estate" course and a Commission approved 30-hours "Course for New Affiliate" to be completed prior to licensure. Both of these courses are Commission approved and available through Excel Real Estate School's correspondence home study. Once you have successfully completed each course, Excel Real Estate School will provide you with the appropriate documentation to be submitted to the Tennessee Real Estate Commission as verification of course completion. You may take these courses one at a time or both simultaneously. You may sit for your state licensing exam after completing the "Principles of Real Estate" course. However, if you successfully pass the state exam your license will not be issued until you have completed the "Course for New Affiliate". So, order both courses and be on your way to an exciting career in real estate sales. |
