This class will prepare you for the state licensing exam. You will receive all the
materials needed to complete this required educational course at home. However,
your instructor is only a phone call or an email away. You will do your assignments
at home and periodically submit your completed work to the instructor. Once you
have successfully completed the course, you will receive instruction as to how to
apply to take your licensing exam.

Some of the topics to be covered in the course are: real property and the
law,concepts in home ownership, the Law of Agency, real estate brokerage, listing
agreements, interests in real estate, forms of real estate ownership, legal
descriptions, real estate taxes and other liens, real estate contracts, transfer of title,
title records, real estate financing, leases, property management, real estate
appraisal, land use, Federal Fair Housing Laws, environmental issues, and closing
the real estate transaction.

Once you order the course, all of the needed materials (INCLUDING TEXT BOOKS
AND INSTRUCTIONS) will be mailed to you. Included in your materials will be
step-by-step instructions and class assignments. Study at your own pace. You are
under no time line to complete the course. However, six weeks is a suggested time
of study.




















(1) Order your 60-hours "Principles of Real Estate" course.
(2) Complete the "Principles of Real Estate" course assignments (app. 6 weeks).
(3) Take the "Principles of Real Estate" final exam. (If you score 70% or better on
the course final exam, you should be prepared to pass the state's licensing exam.)
(4) Register to take your Tennessee licensing exam. (The test is given at various
test sites across the state. Information and registration forms will be provided by
your instructor.)
(5) Pass the state licensing exam.
(6) Order your 30-hours "Course for New Affiliate".
(7) Complete the "Course for New Affiliate" (This course must be completed before
applying for your Tennessee Real Estate License.)
(8) Obtain a Principal Broker in your area with which to affiliate.
(9) Apply for your Tennessee Real Estate License. (Your principal broker must sign
the paperwork needed to obtain your license.) Once you have applied to the
Tennessee Real Estate Commission, your broker should receive your license in
approximately two weeks. You will then be ready to begin your exciting career in
real estate sales.
Course for New Affiliate
30 hours
Have you recently completed your Principles of Real Estate Class? If so,
you must also complete the Course for New Affiliate before applying for
licensure in Tennessee. This course will fulfill that requirement and will
help prepare the licensee for the next step in an exciting real estate career.

Subjects to be covered include: communicating with prospects, meeting
buyer and seller objections, presenting houses, listing, how to write
effective advertising, qualifying, negotiating skills, closing the sale,
Federal Fair Housing Laws, preparing a CMA, property management, and
much more.
